In three words, describe your wedding style?

Classic Coastal New England Elegance meets Chinoiserie (I know that is more than three words!!)

What provided the most inspiration for your wedding?

Well… my love for all things blue and white was the basis of our wedding inspiration but honestly it was all about bringing our favorite people to one of our favorite places on earth for a full weekend of celebrations. We wanted everyone to have a blast and never leave the dance floor – mission accomplished! What aspect of wedding planning was most exciting to you? My parents, my husband and I collected each ginger jar that was used for all the flowers throughout the ceremony, cocktail hour and under the tent. We scoured antique marts, stores, you name, it for months! It was so fun to do this together as we planned our wedding. I also loved working closely with my mom on all the details – we were the wedding planners, and we had a blast.

What made you decide on Hazen for your big day?
I love the simple and classic elegance of Hazen jewelry! Taylor’s designs are timeless, and the Ruth earrings and Emmaline hair pin trio were made for the look I envisioned. They paired perfectly with my dress!

Bridesmaid Dress Designer: I wanted my bridesmaids to feel like themselves so they each picked a blue and white dress on their own. Designers included Reformation, Misa, Madison Matthews and Mestiza. They complimented each other so well and my hope is they will actually wear these dresses again!
Hair Stylist: Sister’s Hair Salon, Mattapoisett, MA

Invitations: My cousin Eliza Garner Hodgson painted all of the artwork for our wedding collateral. She created a custom monogram, a painting of our dog Finn, and a scallop shell, which is Kittansett’s logo, to name a few! The best part is we will have the artwork forever! A wonderful friend of a friend @Camilleinaine put Eliza’s artwork and my vision to life and designed our invitation suite! I can’t thank them both enough as the “paper” was super important to me!
