Classic, feminine, bright
What provided the most inspiration for your wedding?
Our reception venue was definitely my greatest inspiration. Annesdale Mansion was built in the 1850s and features beautiful Italianate architecture that provided the most stunning setting to host family and friends. The gardens and grounds are just as beautiful as the building, so we wanted to take advantage of as much of the property as we could. I wanted to incorporate a lot of greenery and soft blooms to accentuate Annesdale, not take away from it.
What aspect of wedding planning was most exciting to you?
The dress! I work in fashion and have always loved dressing up. I’m the girl that has dreamed about her wedding since I was young, so I couldn’t wait to find the perfect dress. I was able to make the Monique Lhuillier Maeve gown my own by designing a custom topper and adding a silk ribbon and blush veil. Now I just wish I could wear it everyday!
What made you decide on Hazen for your big day?
Well, first of all, Taylor is incredibly talented. She creates the most timeless and elegant pieces that will stand the test of time. I wanted to wear something that I would wear again and again and same for my bridesmaids. I remember when we started planning our wedding, I showed my wedding planner pictures of Taylor’s big day. I said can I have this?! Haha! Since I couldn’t, wearing Hazen was the perfect Taylor touch.
