Real Hazen Bride: Annie D'Spain

Annie Ellerman and Wyatt D’Spain wed on June 12, 2021 at the Grand Ivory in Leonard, TX.

In three words, describe your wedding style?

Lively, Simplistic, and Worshipful

What provided the most inspiration for your wedding?

The key factor that drove all of my decisions during the wedding planning process was that I wanted everyone to feel welcomed, loved, and to walk away having experienced the joy of the Lord. Whether it be the friends/family attending, the caterer delivering the food, or the florist setting up the chapel, every person played an important role and I wanted them to know how valued they were to both Wyatt and me.

What aspect of wedding planning was most exciting to you?

Leading up to the wedding, I was most excited about the ceremony and all the unique ways we could make it intimate, intentional, and personal. A few of those being a pianist and violin playing live music at the chapel, our marriage counselor/Wyatt’s mentor marrying us, my sister singing/playing the guitar while we took communion, and so much more. While I could spend hours trying to plan a great dinner, bouquet, and music list, which are all wonderful things, the ceremony was what continued to remind me of the purpose of the whole day and got me most excited about our marriage to follow!

What made you decide on Hazen for your big day?

My mom, grandmother, sister, and I have loved the jewelry at Hazen & Co. for years. What makes us most drawn to this store are the friendly smiles you are greeted with every time you walk in the store, and I knew that they were exactly the people I needed help from for my wedding! Everyone is willing and eager to find exactly what you have in mind. I always knew I wanted to give my bridesmaids, house party, and flower girl matching jewelry that they would not only wear on the day of the wedding but for many other occasions as well. Rebecca is my mom’s name and my middle name, so when we came across the Rebecca bracelet, we knew it was the perfect piece. The girls working at Hazen that day also helped me find the perfect pieces to go with my rehearsal dinner and wedding dress.
