Friday Festivities: Rehearsal Dinner

The rehearsal dinner was appropriately at home in the Belo Mansion, home to the Dallas Bar Association, a frequented stop of Alex and his father, who are both attorneys.

FAVORITE LITTLE DETAILS FROM THE DAY

For the rehearsal dinner, I selected a woven silk organza off the shoulder number by Carolina Herrera. It had an old-school aesthetic that seemed appropriate for a wedding! I paired it with white Manolo Blanhik's and Hazen's Greer earrings.

The Greer Earring is a stunning cluster of faceted high quality aquamarine briolettes with freshwater pearls. I made a pair for myself in college, and on a recent trip home to Houston, discovered them in my old jewelry box. I reintroduced them with the launch of Hazen's bridal collection, and they are now available in limited quantity.
Rehearsal Dinner at Belo Mansion for Taylor Turner Wedding
The Turners hosted a lovely Rehearsal Dinner for us and our closest 200 friends at the Belo Mansion in Downtown Dallas. The toasts solicited tears and the candlelight had everyone aglow. It was a beautiful and heartfelt evening that I will long cherish. Then off to the chapel!

I'm sad to not have a photo to show, but to put the finishing touch on my half-up-half-down hair style, we fastened an antique diamond bow brooch that I had purchased with money I earned in high school. I thought it was such a lovely, unexpected touch, and since then, we had added brooches to the Hazen bridal line so brides can do the same.
